Hello and welcome to my blog!

I came back to Paris at the weekend and it was great. So nice to see the city coming back to life! After spending nearly three months away, I was a bit anxious to see how this new normality would be like.

I think I chose a good moment to return as bars and restaurants were opened with terrace service and, as a result, the atmosphere was electric. It was evident to see how happy people were to see their friends.

Social distancing was practiced in the metro and the masks have become something of a fashion statement as well as a safety precaution. All in all, the Parisian spark is coming back.

As the saying goes ‘distance makes the heart grow fonder’. I found this especially true on my return. After such an uncertain time, the confinement really highlighted the fact that we should never take anything for granted. Now with this new life, I find that I am more in awe of the city than ever. And I feel that I won’t be the only one.
