The Parisian Cave of Spice

Close to the Marais in Paris, there is an exotic shop called Israel. As pictured above, their selection of foods are both tempting and eye catching. A little store with not too many staff, it is often difficult to get inside the door with the ques of excited customers. Bursting bags of flour, pulses and spices line the shop and chili peppers dangle from the ceiling. Here, one would find good choice and quality of nuts, both roasted and fresh, dried and candied fruits such as figs and a nice range of canned goods. A display of artichokes, red peppers, olives and more entice the customer. With an attractive window display and the alluring smells of spices and herbs, this little gem is not to be missed.
