The Burberry Exposition

At the end of January, I visited the Burberry exposition, The British Way of Life, Here We Are.

Set in an abandoned carpark, Burberry showcased the pure English eccentricity associated with the the brand. The chosen set were the former offices of the French newspaper, Liberation. The gritty appearance only added to the display.

Featuring 30 well-known English photographers, the exposition explored the British way of life of the 50's. The effective collaboration of the Spring Summer 2018 collection and the photographs really brought to life that era and how it was expressed. A funny short clip of a film about a landlady describing her charismatic tenants, brought the eccentricity to new heights. It was an exposition like no other.

Tartan trench coats, high heels with frilly socks and military buttoned blazers were the main features of the collection along with lots of colour and elegant styles. Burberry manages to stand out from the crowd with their signature look and their vintage appeal.
